TOKYO SKYTREE: supported by Japanese traditional techniques and state-of-the-art technology

The major role of TOKYO SKYTREE is the transmission of digital terrestrial broadcasting. Digital terrestrial broadcasting has already been in use since December 2003 in the Kanto area, but due to the many tall buildings rising over 200m high in central Tokyo, it was necessary to build a new tower higher than 600m for broadcasting transmission purposes.
TOKYO SKYTREE is 634 meters high. 634 can be read as "musashi" in Japanese. This word is not only familiar to all Japanese people but also reminds us of Musashi Province, the old name of a vast area that includes parts of Tokyo, Saitama, and Kanagawa.
